HOW TO KNOW IF GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU
You continually feel a prompting to do something. An urge.
A task has been presented to you. Some may see it as an opportunity to do something in God's service. Some may see it as a burden or a responsibility. See it as an important task that you need to do, if it's within your ability and if you can see that you will do something worthwhile. (Ezekiel watchman and "to him that knoweth to do good and do it not to him it is sin")
A specific answer to prayer or to an un-asked need has been given to you. It's happened to many people. God is real, and He does care about His creation, and He does provide for people. Especially according to our needs and especially for believers. ("God maketh the rain to fall on the just and the unjust." Don't think you're saved because you received an answer to prayer; make sure you're saved according to what the Bible says it takes: place your faith in Jesus Christ.)
A scripture has been brought to your mind as you thought of a question or a problem in your life. Not an audible voice. Audible words from the LORD have occurred, but there is no need for them today due to the fact we have the Bible.
These are all signals and indications that the Lord might be speaking to you.
