Fascinating talk. This was former Russian agent Yuri Bezmenov speaking on the subject of “Psychological Warfare Subversion & Control of Western Society”. There’s another one-on-one interview of him on YouTube as well (worth watching, if the subject of Cold War-era espionage interests you).
The description of this video is as follow: “Yuri Bezmenov (alias Tomas Schuman), a Soviet KGB defector, explains in detail his scheme for the KGB process of subversion and takeover of target societies at a lecture in Los Angeles, 1983.”
Questions: What ever happened to the plans? Were any of them ever implemented? Were any of them successful? Or was all of this just…made-up?
One has to wonder what ever came of all of it, and if anything that we see today (i.e. in popular culture and society in general) could be connected. Many people will (of course) not even entertain the thought (i.e. “that’s just a conspiracy theory!!”). But it’s totally reasonable to consider life’s possibilities, no matter how foreign they may seem to one’s own norms, desires, or sensibilities.
