2017 was probably the year of the singularity – depending on how you define singularity. It definitely was the year in which AI, robots, and the blockchain came into the forefront of current news. The year 2018 will bring much more of the same, but I predict we will see two other themes becoming more and more common. Two of the things that will gain more prominence in 2018 will be quantum computing and extra-terrestrial intelligences (ETIs).
ETIs refers to what you’re thinking: “aliens“. But it also refers to AIs. You’ll see what I mean when you watch the video embedded below.
I don’t quite know what to think of the whole ET/UFO scenario, in terms of why it’s been in the news recently, and why it’s gaining more…respectability (for lack of a better word). But something is brewing. We’ll see some interesting developments in that area, in 2018, I believe.
Could it be that scientists will make “contact” with something? Maybe. And if they do, it could be within the context of “inter-dimensional” communication. CERN might be involved. Or D-Wave. Or Google. Somehow, I think quantum computing will come into play when if that happens.
Why? It will serve as a legitimate, scientific, respectable, more acceptable method for the spirit realm to interact openly with the human realm – something that’s always happened, under different guises. This time, the same demons the Egyptian priests, Assyrian mystics and Babylonians sorcerers spoke with will speak with our scientists and physicists. This time, they won’t claim to be “gods”; they will claim to be people or beings from another dimension or solar system.
If or when “contact” occurs, don’t take it at face value. (I know I write about some mystical, weird, kooky stuff here – but I don’t necessarily believe in these things as they are presented. If I mention something here, I may be writing about it because other people believe it to be true, and those people have an influence over you and I. What I believe in is the Bible.)
Of course, it bears repeating that talk of ETIs, quantum computing, and contacting other dimensions sounds nuts (until it’s not). Sometimes even the scientists are surprised at the results they are seeing.
Just remember: these days, truth is stranger than fiction used to be. Here’s Geordie Rose (of D-Wave fame) talking about how AI is like ET:
